Verifying pickup arrangements prevents miscommunication and ensures the dog leaves with the rightful owner at the correct time.

If the dog shows anxiety, this signals stress or discomfort still present, so releasing the dog would not be appropriate yet. Sleeping throughout the process could indicate fatigue or sedation rather than true readiness, and won’t reliably reflect the dog’s comfort or safety for home.
